Andy Morimoto

Andy Morimoto is Director of Climate Policy at Edelman Global Advisory. In his role, he helps clients navigate a wide range of climate and sustainability issues. Mr. Morimoto is also a Policy Fellow at the Green Finance Center at the Paulson Institute, a “think and do” tank founded by former US Treasury Secretary Henry M. Paulson Jr. ​

Mr. Morimoto has experience working on a number of issue areas, including green finance, climate/nature policy, and international climate diplomacy. From 2023-2024, he served as an advisor and speechwriter to the COP28 Presidency, which produced the historic UAE Consensus. 

He previously was Director of Research in the office of the chairman at the Paulson Institute, where he worked closely with Secretary Paulson on to execute strategic initiatives and executive communications. Prior to the Paulson Institute, he worked at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, where he focused on trade and the global economy.  In 2022, he was a member of the Aspen Strategy Group Rising Leaders Program. He earned a MA in international relations from The University of Chicago, and a BA in political science and history from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
