Under the motto “Brazil is back” and in a scenario of declining international institutions and multilateralism, Lula seeks protagonism in international events. Throughout this year, the government has shown great effort on the international agenda, including the BRICS summit in South Africa, the G20 in India, the Belém Summit in Brazil; by the G77 in Cuba, and the UN General Assembly.

The meetings in New York also yielded important bilateral or thematic agendas, especially on sustainability and labor rights with American President Joe Biden.
