Edelman Global Advisory hosted an expert panel for a webinar that will provided a business perspective on the current EU energy situation. How can we maintain European energy security in tomorrow’s energy system, while remaining competitive on the world stage? 

In the ending European winter of 2022-2023, gas reserves remained at a level that allowed to keep the lights on – Despite easing gas prices since the beginning of 2023, how will Europe maintain energy security over the next winter and beyond.

The session, moderated by EGA Chair of Climate Policy Nikolaus Schultze, discussed Europe’s options to ensure energy security in the mid to long term. The panel featured Stefan Borst, Edelman EMEA Energy and Industry Lead, Maria van der Hoeven, former IEA Executive Director, Corinna Grajetzky, Head of EU Representative Office at RWE, and Marco Baresi, Board Member Euroheat & Power. EGA Chair of Energy and Industrial Policy Aaron Guiterman opened the session and President of EGA UK Mohammed Hussein closed out the event with concluding remarks.
