61% of Americans say violent crime is very important to their vote in the 2022 elections. This sentiment comes on the heels of a sharp rise in homicide - by 30% – in 2020, and an 11.7% jump in aggravated assaults. From Geopolitical Risks to Border Security to Gun Control, the multi-faceted issue of Safety & Security influences nearly every aspect of voters' lives - putting it at the forefront of this year's election cycle.

On November 1, 2022, EGA hosted our third Midterms 2022 moderated discussion exploring Safety & Security and the impact this issue had on the 2022 midterm elections. The discussion was moderated by EGA Managing Director for Political Risk, Anne MacDonald and featured former United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas and Partner at Quinn Emmanuel, John Bash and former Philadelphia Mayor and EGA Advisory board member Michael Nutter.
