Alex Morris currently serves as the Chief People Officer & Human Resources Business Partner for Edelman Global Advisory (EGA). In this role, Mr. Morris will integrate new partnerships into the Edelman fold, with an emphasis on attracting and retaining leading public affairs/advisory talent, globally. In addition, Mr. Morris will be responsible for delivering on both the strategic footprint of Public Affairs and the global talent strategy, in lockstep with Edelman’s business goals. In partnership with senior leaders, Mr. Morris will drive business transformation and growth by ensuring EGA has the right talent, at the right time, in the right roles, engaged with purpose and passion and able to thrive in a diverse, inclusive, and growing culture.

With an entrepreneurial spirit, Mr. Morris brings more than 25 years of experience in human resources in both government and corporate settings planning, designing & implementing large scale human capital projects for Federal agencies and over 15 years of executive leadership experience with Federal, DOD and Civilian agencies. He is a seasoned HR professional specializing in Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, Employee & Labor Relations, Mergers & Acquisitions, Change Management and Leadership Development. He is highly skilled in building relationships with internal & external partners, holding confidence and maintaining rapport while serving in both tactical and strategic roles.

Prior to joining Edelman, Mr. Morris served as a member of Senior Leadership at Save the Children, providing human resources advice and counsel to US Programs, Marketing, Communications, Fundraising, Legal, HR, IT, and Office of the President. He also served as the Human Resources & EEO Officer for the District Government of Washington D.C., held the position of Director of Employee/Labor Relations at MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Human Resources Director at Fort Washington Medical Center of Nexus Health Systems, D.C. Child & Family Services Agency, Exceptional Software Strategies and Scientific & Engineering Solutions.

Mr. Morris has volunteered at Hospice of the Chesapeake and served as the Human Resources Executive Board Member for Young Ladies of Tomorrow. He enjoys chess, reading and playing golf. He earned both a BS and an MBA from Bowie State University.
