In 1977, Liz Robbins opened what became the first woman-owned public affairs and Federal government consulting firm in Washington D.C., Liz Robbins Associates. The firm has expertise across a variety of areas regarding public and private sector policy. Liz Robbins Associates' New York City office focuses on strategic communications and related endeavors, such as philanthropy as branding and development.

In addition, EGA announced today the expansion of its North American capabilities with the addition and elevation of several key members of the leadership team.

Martin Reiser has joined EGA as the chair for the U.S. and Canada. Marty brings extensive experience from Capitol Hill, the White House and private sector, focused on health care, tax, trade and pension policy. Marty was most recently policy director for the House Republican Whip, Steve Scalise. In that role he led operations on all major legislation since 2014, including Trade Promotion Authority (TPA), Tax Cut and Jobs Act, USMCA, CARES Act and all COVID-related legislation, the American Health Care Act, Budget Reconciliation, tax extenders, multi-employer pension plan reform, 21st Century Cures and Opioid bills.

Darci Vetter has agreed to lead the international trade and agriculture business of EGA. Darci has been with Edelman for almost four years. Previously and under President Obama, Darci served at the U.S. trade representative as the ambassador for agriculture and at the US Department of Agriculture as under secretary for Farm and Foreign Agricultural Services.

Caroline Langdale has been promoted to chief client officer of EGA. Caroline has been with Edelman for over three years in the firms’ New York City office. In her new role, Caroline will serve as the lead contact for EGA clients, Edelman’s large client teams and prospective clients. Caroline will split her time between her current role in New York City and her new role with EGA in Washington, D.C.

Debora (Comenalli) Murray has been promoted to executive vice president of EGA. Debora has been with Edelman for over 13 years. She works with international institutions, governments, and key businesses on large scale campaigns. She will continue this important work while also working closely with the new chair on the growth of the Washington, D.C. office.

Joe Abbey has been promoted to executive vice president of EGA. Joe has been with Edelman for almost three years and will join EGA as a core part of its Washington, D.C. office, focusing on health and food & beverage related issues, among others.
